The 18th Bangladesh International Plastics, Printing & Packaging Fair (IPF Bangladesh 2026) concluded successfully after four meaningful days from 28–31 January 2026 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB). The trade fair proudly hosted 400 local and international exhibitors and welcomed a total of 29,274 attendees from 34 countries and regions. Perrys Chang of Worldly Industrial Co., Ltd. noted that the company has over 30 years of experience in Bangladesh, with more than 150 machines installed locally. She added that the exhibition offers a valuable platform for business connections and new opportunities in plastic printing and packaging
Halil Boztepe of Tepe Kimya remarked that the company has been active in Bangladesh since 2009, supplying PVC stabilizers and plastic additives from its factories in Malaysia and Turkey. Now attending IPF for the fourth year, Tepe Kimya views the exhibition as a key platform to connect with customers and partners in the plastics industry.
K.M. Iqbal Hossain of Novelty highlighted that the company produces pharmaceutical and consumer packaging, including PET and HDPE bottles. This year, Novelty introduced its 100% compostable and biodegradable bag. The company welcomed strong participation from local and international exhibitors and looks forward to an even bigger event next year.
Md. Alamgir Hossen of Aman Plastic Toys underscored that the company is one of Bangladesh’s largest toy manufacturers and exporters, serving markets in Europe, including Italy, as well as South Asia. Participating in the fair allows Aman Plastic Toys to connect with new buyers and suppliers and stay updated on the latest industry trends.
Md. Rezaul Hakim of Colorplus Masterbatch commented that IPF 2026 brought together plastic manufacturers and traders from across Bangladesh to share innovations and showcase new products. Exhibitions like IPF help promote products, strengthen international relationships, and showcase Bangladesh as a growing manufacturing hub.
Md. Ariful Islam Chowdhury of Bengal Group of Industries shared that the company offers a wide range of high-quality products, including melamine items, plastic pipes, water tanks, doors, and other household and industrial plastics. Having participated for the past three years, the company values the opportunity to promote its brand and connect with customers.
Ali Javed of Taj Al Mulook General Trading LLC emphasized that the company operates across eight business segments, including plastic raw materials, providing complete solutions for the plastics industry. Bangladesh is a key market for the company, with strong demand and growing industrial needs.
Ivano Cliarlitto of Sacmi remarked that the company’s 105-year history as a global manufacturer of industrial machinery focuses on packaging solutions such as caps and crown caps. Sacmi has participated in IPF Bangladesh for over 10 years and views Bangladesh as a fast-growing market with strong future potential.

These sessions provided attendees with a comprehensive understanding of emerging market directions, offering strategic foresight into the evolving global supply chain and future industry shifts.
On 28 January, a keynote seminar titled "Beyond Recycling: Industrial Symbiosis and the Future of Competitive Manufacturing in Bangladesh" was featured by Dr. Mohammad Sujauddin.
Dr. Sujauddin addressed the critical challenges facing the recycling industry today, emphasizing that recycling is no longer just an environmental duty but a strategic industrial function. He explored how integrating industrial symbiosis, where the waste of one process becomes the raw material for another, can optimize resource efficiency, reduce production costs, and significantly enhance the global competitiveness of Bangladesh’s manufacturing sector.
On 29 January, two strategic sessions focused on industry growth and policy development. Dr. Wasel Bin Shadat presented "Packaging Export Potential and Identification," offering an in-depth analysis of Bangladesh’s current export status and noting 2026 as a year of historic transformation for the sector. Meanwhile, Eng. Md. Elias Hossain spoke on "Plastic Sector Development Policy in Line with SME Growth Strategy," highlighting how national policies are being reshaped to empower small and medium enterprises (SMEs), equipping them with the tools and regulatory support to scale operations and contribute to the country’s industrial vision.
